Expert for starting out, but the bodily cheesecake filling needed something extra. I added some sour cream and heavy cream to the mixture since it was just cream cheese, knew it needed something else to provide a ameliorate, creamier cheesecake. I withal recollect I should have added more, possibly some other brick of cream cheese besides every bit more sour and heavy foam. I made a choc. drizzle for the summit of two oz. melted semi sugariness choc. and one/three c. heavy cream. Subsequently setting in the fridge the choc. was hardened a scrap and I think it really helped the flavour of the block. I call up the recipe is a flake as well plain written as-is, needs a bit of doctoring.

Im rating this iv cause information technology sounds yummy but doesnt say if you should use the cream of the oreos and where to use it **Update: Ok, so cheers to the person that reviewed this afterwards me I could brand it.. I interpreted "divided" badly, i thought it was the cookies divided in two! oops my bad.. this was delicious!
11/04/2008
my girlfriend made it and information technology's succulent! and yes she used the oreos cream filling :)

For a true cheesecake lover - this recipe didn't work for me. The flavor was very flat and it didn't have the sour cream which gives cheesecake a depth of season. If you lot are going to make this recipe, try doubling the vanilla and add together a nuance of lemon.
06/xxx/2010
This came out pretty good, I did what the other reviewers suggested and added i/ii a loving cup of heavy cream and 2 tablespoons of sour foam and 2 tsp of vanilla instead of merely 1.
11/30/2008
fantastic and easy to make. i actually did slightly overbake it which gave it a slightly browned peak... so i did a quick fix by coating information technology with Coolwhip and sprinkled the elevation with some (2) crushed oreos.

I give the recipe five stars because it is a great starter, simply the recipe is unfinished. First of all, yous should never have merely cream cheese in the batter. I added a 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk and a cup of vanilla yogurt. When you add together the eggs, dissever them commencement and stir the yolk and whites separately. This is a technique used for making cakes but for cheesecake will brand the end event a light and fluffy cheesecake. I prefer it this mode because you can actually only have a couple bites of a heavy cheesecake. Then I used double oreos for everything. Double the oreo batter for the chaff and double how many crushed oreos you put in the batter. Then I broke off chunks of oreos to add together to the batter as well. While baking, I took the advice of another review on hither and started the temp at 350 then lowered it by 25 degrees every xx minutes while baking (bake for a full of an hr) and so plough the heat off and leave the cake in the oven with the door closed for an additional hour. I didn't utilise a waterbath just using this method, the cheesecake came out perfectly smooth and crack-free!! Information technology was incredible and we didn't even wait for it to absurd completely before eating information technology because information technology looked so good!! Will definitely exist making this once more. One last note, make certain ALL your ingredients are at room temperature. Promise this helps and enjoy your cheesecake!!! :)

This is a cheesecake lover's cake. It was very rich and dumbo. It was also super uncomplicated to make. I followed the recipe exactly. I would add more oreos to the batter if I fabricated it again.
01/xi/2009
Oh my gosh. This cheesecake was absolutely amazing! It was literally the best thing that I've ever made. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out PERFECT! I made this for a foods projection and my family unit loved it. It was so easy to brand. I would remember it would even be fun for children to brand.

I requite this 4 starts because it was pretty good and easy to make but mabey in my learning to cook i missed something crusade it didnt set right. The middle was non cooked completely. I got so worried well-nigh all the reviews to make sure you lot dont let it overbake that i must take taken it out besides early. It did bake for 40 min though then i dont know what happened. I will endeavour this once again!!
eleven/25/2008
Beloved this recipes. Have made it many times. Don't over cook it!

I chose to make these into 12 standard cupcakes using cupcake liners. I constitute a half a stick of butter worked meliorate for the oreo crust. I doubled the vanilla extract, squeezed fresh lemon juice and added a ½ loving cup of sour cream to make for a creamier cheesecake. I filled each eighteen cupcakes almost to the top and broiled them at 275 degrees, rotating pan halfway through, until set in 25 minutes. I turned off the oven, cracked the oven door and let information technology sit for near 30 minutes. Once the cheesecake cooled I transferred them to the refrigerator for several hours. Probably the hardest office is waiting all those hours until they are chilled. The cheesecake didn't crack. It's not as well rich, just flossy, smooth and sweet enough. I could see and taste bits and chunks of oreo cookies. I topped these off with, "Sturdy Whipped Foam Frosting," from this site, and decorated with mini oreo cookies for more visual entreatment. These were easy to set up and I gave them to hubs to share with his crew tonight.
04/21/2010
This was great subsequently I made some slight changes. I used the Ready to use Cheesecake filling instead of foam cheese, 1/2 stick butter, 2t vanilla, ane/2 pint sour cream, splash lemon juice so I melted a couple handfuls of mini choc fleck and whipped it with ane/3 c heavy cream and swirled it into the top of the cheesecake batter after poring it into the jump pan using a butter knife. YUM!
08/22/2010
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiicooooooooooooo
10/08/2010
Great cheesecake. I took this to a party and we had to cut the pieces pretty slim and so that everyone could have a slice. Instead of mixing the cookies into the batter, I chose to put a layer of cookies in the middle. It turned out perfectly layered. I also broiled for about 45 minutes, turned off the oven, opened the door a piddling, and left the cheesecake in for virtually two hours. No cracks. Busy with whipped cream and mini Oreos.
12/24/2010
Super easy and received rave reviews from my guests. I used a bit more cookies in the crust. This will be made again and again!
11/24/2010
I added a cup of sour cream and a dash of confectioners sugar and it came out amazing!
01/02/2011
We used mint oreos for a Christmas touch. Yum!!
05/10/2012
I added sourcream to ameliorate the texture of the cheesecake and to improve balance the flavours. Worked out great! I cooked it for a household of men and they LOVED it!
05/30/2010
I thought that it needed a petty more than flavor. I added mint OREO's. It was awesome!!
09/14/2010
very good and extremely piece of cake. I made it for guests and they loved it too
07/28/2010
this cheesecake is wonderful! It is an like shooting fish in a barrel recipe that will have others guessing you spent hours on it! My fiance took one bite and the look on his face told me all I needed to know that this is a "brand-againer!" Thank you for this easy and delish recipe!
08/10/2011
I followed the recipe, adding only an actress tsp of vanilla. I was very disappointed. It was not cheesecake at all. No tang. If y'all are going to effort this and desire a real cheesecake flavor I would recommended adding another 8oz package of cream cheese of a loving cup of sour foam.
09/05/2013
I haven't tried the end consequence, just from tasting the filling before blistering- I know that information technology will be succulent. The MAIN problem I have with this recipe is the clarity. For someone who has never made, much less never had, Oreo Cheesecake... the recipe does not specify enough on what to do. Obviously for the crust yous accept to take the cream out of the cookies, but information technology does not say that. "24 Oreo Cookies, divided". Divided what? In one-half? Into 3rds? One pile of viii, One pile of sixteen? Divided how??? That may need to be revised and reworded to prevent confusion for other first-time bakers out at that place!
ten/26/2010
A coworker of mine wanted me to make him an Oreo Cheesecake. I had no recipe and then I decided to make this ane....what a keen decision that was! I put in 1 one/2 t of vanilla instead of 1 t and I also crushed about 14 oreos instead of 8 for the inside and elevation of the cheesecake. It was such a striking that I've been asked to makie some other one Presently! :)
03/21/2011
This was first cheesecake recipe I've ever attempted and I didn't want to go overboard and dive into a more complected recipe for my get-go ane. I followed the recipe to a t and information technology came out without whatsoever cracks and was cooked perfectly (tried the tip of shutting off the oven and cracking the door until cooled) but the flavor, while like cheesecake, didnt take the depth or richness that most cheesecakes have. I did enjoy the crust and volition probably use that role of the recipe once more, simply defiantly ready to dive further into the cheesecake baking world to find a truly decadent i.
05/08/2010
Wonderful! I followed the recipe exactly except I used a ix.5 inch springform pan (I didn't take a nine inch pan), and I topped the cheesecake with chocolate ganache (recipe besides from this website). People were shocked to discover it wasn't from a bakery because it was so good and looked so pretty. Will brand again!
02/07/2011
This is the first cheesecake I accept ever made and it turned out great. I was very pleased.
06/16/2011
Yous really can't become incorrect with this if you lot like Oreos and cheesecake! I did brand some minor changes though. Kickoff the crust needs to be doubled, equally is it barely covers a 9 inch springform pan. I also did 2 teaspoons of vanilla and 1 teaspoon of lemon and doubled (or so) the amount of Oreos in the concoction. All in all I used a whole package of Oreos! If your going to make this, y'all are not going to worry about the extra calories of more Oreos!! It turned out cracking and is a big hit with family unit and friends.
11/22/2010
very proficient! Everyone loves this. My husband took the leftovers to work with him and his co workers said he was lucky he married me!
07/04/2010
Cheesecake doesn't demand to be intimidating! My fox is to become those iii bricks of foam cheese into the Kitchenaid stand mixer, add together the vanilla and sugar, and but chug abroad for a long time, throughout the time that I'k preparing the crust, etc. Information technology creates a very smooth, creamy filling that is low-cal just not airy. I find an Oreo chaff to be a bit too heavy for my preferences, so instead I used about 2/3 of a parcel of Nilla cookies (vanilla), crushed fine, with about 4 TBSP butter. We served this for the Fourth of July, so as a decorative affect, we took 6 whole Oreos and removed i side. Then, using a toothpick, I drew little starbursts and asterisks, and dripped a single drop of food coloring into each. The toothpicks were helpful in smoothing the colour out into the designs, and the result was a pretty, fireworks-looking piffling design on each cookie. I cooked as directed for 30 minutes, then gently placed the decorated cookies on the semi-business firm superlative and cooked for the remaining 15 minutes. A delicious dessert, with cute little decorations on top!
03/xi/2011
Delicious!!! This was my beginning time ever making a cheesecake and information technology turned out wonderful!!
07/06/2010
it was ok not to die for not disgusting. only ok. it doesnt have that much flavor
06/21/2010
This was a bully recipe! I made it a few weeks ago for my family, and it was gone the next day! Information technology was so good, I had to make it again for father'due south 24-hour interval.
03/06/2010
This was pretty unproblematic to make. Of course mine didn't come out as pretty every bit information technology did in the picture, but information technology still tasted great. Adjacent time I will let the creamcheese settle, because my beater burned out on me while mixing. I was affraid that information technology was going to come out terrible because I had to whip it by hand, only it sense of taste really skilful. I volition be making this once more.
04/11/2010
Fantastic! Rather than mix the cookies in the cheesecake, i sprinkled the remainder on top later baking. I also grated some dark chocolate (lx%)that is mint flavored.
06/14/2011
it didnt look very overnice ..which is all my fault, but it tasted great!
02/16/2009
half-dozen STARS! I loved the aroma in the kitchen while this baked, reminded me of Cheesecake Factory. This was my first fourth dimension making cheesecake and I didn't know how easy information technology was! I used organic Newman-Os (only like Oreos) and all other organic ingredients to make the indulgence a little more environmentally friendly. Style, way, better than anything I have ordered at CF. Next time I aim on making a graham cracker crust and adding fries of peanut butter. :)
02/14/2010
This cheese block needed something else added to i, it was not very flavorful and 45 mins in the over is fashion to long, mine was way over cooked.
04/16/2011
Everyone loved this! my mom said it was the all-time cheesecake she has e'er had! and my aunt even had seconds and she never has seconds! they are all begging me to go far again!
01/31/2009
Fabricated this for a friend'southward birthday since he loves oreos. I pretty much followed the recipe. I used a rolling pin to beat up the oreos. I also used the Pro Ganache recipe on here every bit a topping. I fabricated both this cheesecake and the Chocolate Bit Cookie Dough cheesecake on here for a altogether party. Both were fantastic, merely I surprisingly enjoyed this one more.
x/sixteen/2011
Very yummy!
12/20/2008
I'grand giving information technology 5 stars because this is the closest I came across again for the one I made.[I used the Philadlehia cheese block cook book once more.] It uses ane pkg. of oreos, 30 oreos and a 1/2 a siick of butter for the crust,& iv pkgs of cream cheese. It'south a monster of a cheese block.
03/xi/2012
Absolutely delicious! I don't think I could have fabricated a meliorate cheesecake so this. I am not a huge fan of cheesecake but I just LOVED this. Not a huge overwhelming richness that cheesecake usually has which is probably why I loved this so much. Yous could easily serve this with a whipped topping and not have it be too sugariness. I personally followed the recipe to the T and had no bug which is funny how others had then many issues. I was afraid of making this because of all the reviews and alterations. I am glad I made this and I will do so once again!
05/28/2014
When I tried this recipe i did two eggs and half a cup of sourcream. It was astonishing. i will use this recipe over again
04/24/2011
it tasted like salt very diappointed w/this recipe
04/09/2014
I was very disappointed in this recipe. I thought it would exist an easy recipe to teach my son how to make cheesecake. Information technology turned out very dry out. Information technology needs sour cream or milk..... anything to give it that "melt in your rima oris" softness. This did non have that. I volition never make this again.
05/06/2011
Oh...my...gosh! This was my first time making a cheesecake so I was preparing for it to be terrible, but this was AMAZING!!! I fabricated 2 small changes (as recommended by a lot of other reviews). I added more than Oreos than the recipe called for. It called for 24, I probably used closer to 35-40 (haha, I love Oreos!) The inside of mine was therefore a lot darker than in the picture...which was fine by me! And fine by everyone else who ate it. I also added two teaspoons of vanilla instead of just one. I will definitely exist making this again!
12/08/2011
This cheesecake was succulent. Mine was slightly overcooked at well-nigh twoscore minutes just that's my own fault for non watching it. Will definately arrive again!
01/03/2012
I fabricated this for Christmas and it was simply delicious! It'due south not a very complex on the flavour. But information technology is a prissy, tasty, simple cheesecake that only requires a few steps and a few ingredients. I will brand this once more!
04/04/2012
Wonderful Recipe, Yummy *:)~~
01/11/2015
I've made this about v times. It'south like shooting fish in a barrel and our whole family loves it. I elevation with whipping cream and a Hershey chocolate sauce drizzle.
01/24/2015
:( I honey cheesecake and enjoy making them merely hadnt made kne in a while. Decided to try this ane out and it was a major bomb. the crust turned out really hard, and the filling was a very odd and kind of spounge like texture.
12/02/2009
A great easy cheesecake recipe especially for beginners like me! I read some of the earlier reviews and added about half a small container of sour cream, doubled the vanilla extract and a splash of lemon juice to the mix. I also used a chip more than Oreos for the crust and institute half a stick of butter worked meliorate. I permit it cool on a wire rack for about an hour before removing the side of the springform pan and placing in the fridge and it was perfect after nigh 4 hours! Enjoy!
07/29/2013
This was easy and very yummy! I fabricated if for my hubby for Father's Day, and froze the residual. A month later, I swear information technology's fifty-fifty better frozen!!
06/03/2011
Tasted great I made sure to add the sour cream and confection sugar.. Only problem is information technology croaky.. I think I put likewise much into the pan.. side by side time I wont over fill it. Easy recipe!
08/02/2009
my family loved it
04/23/2011
LOVED It and then did the family unit! I did add together a lot more crushed cookies to the batter and more chunky cookie pieces on top. Amazingly delicious!
09/10/2016
I made this cheesecake as a surprise for my sisters birthday. She absolutely loved information technology! I ended upwards making ii and it was great. All the same I did add nearly a tablespoon of heavy foam, and exist careful non to over mix every bit well. The foam I found made information technology more dense and moist. Not bad and easy to brand!!
02/xv/2009
Very rich creamy cheesecake.
03/16/2011
It was good and easy to make, just not corking. I have made lots of flavors of cheesecakes and this is not a repeater for me. I served information technology to company and didn't hear any yummy type comments.
04/06/2011
Great recipe!!!! The whole family loved information technology. It was super like shooting fish in a barrel to make and absolutely delicious. I didn't change annihilation in the recipe.
06/07/2011
Very good! Don't worry if the top cracks. I Added some actress chaff and it was great!!! :)
06/04/2011
This cheesecake was absolutely succulent. The only thingI did differently from the recipe is that I used a few more oreos in the chaff.
01/01/2009
My first attempt with cheesecake was an absolute success. Everyone in my family loved information technology! Cheers for the recipe! Proposition: Serve with a side of sliced citrus fruit, it gives contrast to the flavors rich & creamy then clean & fresh.
03/03/2010
So yummy... unfotunately I simply got to eat one slice, the rest was consumed quickly by my bf. ohwell, guess that means that he enjoyed it was well.
06/15/2013
This was Astonishing!! So I am writing this review to be of help to future people who stumble on this like I did while on I was on Pintrest. After 30 minutes of arguing with my fellow over whether or non the white filling of the oreo should be crush up for the crust or not, I finally made the decision and did it anyway. It is not clear whether y'all should or shouldn't continue the foam with the crushed cookies, and in the picture it looks completely black. Well let me tell y'all, the crust was black and it was amazing WITH THE FILLING IN It!! lol I honey when I tin bear witness men wrong. tehehehe (I think he secretly liked information technology too). P.S. I added about ii TBL of Sour cream to my recipe after reading Ashley's review.
11/25/2011
1 word: delicious! this is soooo rich and my family unit and I loved it! a bit catchy to mix since it's so thick but definitely worth it!yummmmm
03/22/2011
I've fabricated this recipe several times now and for some reason the resulting cheesecake ever looks over-cooked. The outset fourth dimension I assumed I just needed to adjust the fourth dimension, merely equally of this last fourth dimension it had only broiled 35 min and already looked cracked and brown. I would assume information technology's just my oven except I don't accept problems with anything else. If anyone else has run into this I would love to hear your solution!
01/21/2010
This was my first attempt at making whatever kind of cheesecake and information technology was beautiful looking and tasted admittedly delicious. I brought it with me to a party and it was the simply dessert that every unmarried person wanted. The top cracked, even though I left information technology in the oven to absurd, but you couldn't tell considering of the Oreos on top. The only small change I made to the recipe was I added more than crushed Oreos to the top.
08/14/2013
I was so feared up with taking on my kickoff cheesecake, but I was seriously more than than pleased with this. I changed things upwardly a little to my ain liking, merely I feel similar it'd be good regardless. I only used 2 eggs, added some heavy cream, and doubled the vanilla. I as well used an obscene amount of Oreos. Information technology was perfect. I'll make this recipe again in different cookie forms. Practice it!
11/29/2011
I just made this and information technology came out too perfect! I will say, it won't come up out skilful if your switching any of the ingredients to fat-free. I can totally encounter a recipe similar that not having enough flavor or missing something. Mine came out very creamy and rich in taste. I'thousand e'er told blistering comes so natural to me. =o)
01/12/2012
I establish that putting the oreos for the crust in the cuisinart a much easier and faster way and then using a rolling pin. It also makes for a finer, more than easily pressed chaff. I absolutly dear this recipe! have made it a bunch of times.
eleven/07/2015
I followed the recipe exactly, and the effect was delicious! Perfect for a cheesecake lover.
eleven/fourteen/2012
My Hubby LOVES this. My daughter made this for him. Elementary and and so practiced !!!
08/06/2014
Was over all practiced but was not a big fan of the crust. My try a pre-made OREO pie crust next time!
02/04/2012
This is one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. I loved information technology! Information technology was and then delicious. Even my fiance, who is not into candies or cakes at all ate one-half information technology, so it must take been good :) I will definetely effort it again!
06/04/2011
This was really piece of cake, but kinda obviously. Just the husband loved it.
03/xiii/2013
I must requite this recipe a five. It was very simple to make and i got and then many compliments from information technology. The funnest thing after making it is plating it. I made it into single serve dishes and they turned out great.
xi/27/2014
Simply made it for Thanksgiving desert. DELICIOUS!!!!!!
08/16/2014
I dearest the taste. So good.
06/08/2014
My teenage son and friends wanted to brand a cheesecake one Saturady night and we chose this easy recipe. Mixed ingredients and made exactly per recipe. It went into the oven (lowered temp to 320 degrees because of nighttime pan) and I let the kids takeover from in that location. Told them to make sure it wasn't jiggling in the middle earlier they took information technology out. This morning I found it in the refrigerator merely a few slices remaining and so treated myself to some for breakfast. OMG, this cheesecake is delicious! I really don't care for "Oreo" anything, but I have to say, especially considering how easy it was to make, this is one of the best cheesecakes I've ever tasted. Totally rivals whatever Cheesecake Manufactory cheesecake for certain...
12/24/2008
I read the other reviews and added a nuance of lemon juice and extra vanilla. Taste good and my family loved it. Simple to do too. I slightly overbaked it but luckily the inside was notwithstanding soft and creamy. Will brand this over again some other time.
12/29/2008
Made this cheesecake for Thanksgiving for my hubby who isn't a fan of pumpking pie - information technology was a huge hit with everyone. It was super easy. Looks like it took a long time to prepare likewise :-)
04/16/2016
Used ruby velvet Oreos instead. Also, I didn't put my remaining Oreos into the cream cheese/vanilla/sugar/eggs mix...I took the foam out of those cookies, crushed them, and sprinkled them on my broiled cheesecake. Likewise put a thin layer of whipped cream on acme ??
08/01/2015
This recipe is very like to the bones cheesecake I use every bit a base to play with. Used only the chocolate cookie part of the Oreos in the crust with the butter; and added the cream filling into the foam cheese batter.
03/20/2009
Followed exactly... perfect! Not besides sweet, not too rich. But right!
03/30/2012
I live in a place where many recipes call for ingredients I just tin't become. This recipe is equally good as it gets...elementary ingredients, easy to prepare, and crowd pleasing. Smashing rich cheesecake flavor (and I know cheesecake) and the oreos take on a wonderful texture. Non to mention I don't have whatever kind of a mixer so I fabricated it with a murphy masher and a wire whisk, turned out great. I heat my cream cheese in the microwave to soften information technology before combining. No demand to "fancy" it upward. Uncomplicated is skilful.
12/24/2008
This was a quick and easy recipe to follow. It RULES! :)
07/04/2014
I used I tablespoon carbohydrate in the crumbs. Not a whole lot you tin can add together to this recipe huge hit fifty-fifty with "I don't like cream cheese block" guest.
05/04/2014
OMG. East to brand and to die for!!!
03/08/2020
Came out amazing!
02/07/2018
I honey this recipe! I did tweek somethings just non too much. Overall information technology was awesomely GREAT! Volition make over again!
06/11/2018
I fabricated this for my mother's altogether and she loved it. The only thing that I would change is the number of Oreo cookies because the amount listed didn't work for me.
09/15/2013
Accept been meaning to try this one for a long time and I'thousand and then glad I finally did. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out wonderful. It was a hit with anybody!
02/14/2020
gotta say I'thousand impressed! tried a few dissimilar recipes and this one was the easiest and improve tasting. i affair people are maxim is that it'southward missing a few ingredients simply have into account that information technology says EASY right in the championship if you want a more complex flavour profile then go basics that's why it'southward so good considering yous tin can add whatever other items you lot desire just it's a great starting point and a cracking recipe past itself so don't let other people's tastes and reviews stop you from atleast trying it! :)
02/19/2013
All i tin say is YUM!
07/22/2015
information technology turned out and then skillful, it was my second time making it and i added more than oreos for my taste, but my family n cousins loved information technology, they asked me also make more for all of them, so I'm making a lot of batches today. overall everyone loved the cheesecake, information technology was so expert due north rich. Nigh my cheese cakes turn out spongy simply this one was P.E.R.F.E.C.T. I'll brand information technology again on special days. the cheesecae had my friends dying for more than!
05/09/2015
Easier to serve if you brand this into cupcakes, I put a whole Oreo in the bottom of each cupcake paper and pour the concoction over top, I also mix one/2 loving cup chocolate chips into the batter and then broil same temp only for 25 minutes or until set up. Spray whipped foam on top of each cupcake when serving, it's a huge hit!!!
